DIVE-LD Engineering Learning
DIVE-LD stands for Design, Innovation, Visualization & Engineering — Learning & Development.
DIVE-LD is being built as an independent educational resource for mechanical designers, engineers, students and makers.
What we publish
The focus is practical mechanical design, CAD, design for manufacturing, tolerancing, manufacturing processes, engineering tools and visual explanations.
Independence
Editorial principle
Content should explain not only a design rule, but why it exists, what trade-off it creates and when project-specific engineering judgement is required.
Who prepares the engineering content?
DIVE-LD is edited by Bertrand Mezatio, a mechanical engineer with graduate-level manufacturing technology training and professional experience in CAD, mechanical design, prototyping and design-for-manufacturing workflows. The publication separates educational guidance from project-specific engineering services.
What V0.4 adds
The site now combines technical guides, original visual diagrams, browser-local calculators and a materials library. The goal is to make engineering reasoning inspectable: readers should be able to see the assumptions behind a recommendation rather than only receiving a rule of thumb.
