Use carefully
- Rated power is not automatically peak torque.
- Include efficiency across real transmissions.
- Check acceleration, jam and shock cases.
- Verify shaft, key/spline, gear/belt and bearing loads separately.
Useful chain
Motor → coupling/belt/gear → shaft → driven machine. Define power and torque at each interface, not only at the motor.
Release questions
- Continuous or intermittent duty?
- Peak/stall torque?
- Direction reversals?
- Efficiency and thermal limits?
